Rimonabant is an anorectic anti-obesity drug which blocks the cannabinoid receptor CB1 and reduces apetite. CB1 receptor blockade play an important role in regulating body weight and in controlling energy balance, as well as glucose and lipid (or fat) metabolism.

Usage.

Rimonabant is used to treat:

• obesety
• cardiovascular disease

Rimonabant possible side effects.

• depression
• neurodegenerative diseases in patients with neurological condition
• vomiting/nausea
• diarrhea

Rimonabant and pregnancy / lactation.

Do not use during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

What is the shelf life of the pills?

• The expiry date is mentioned on each blister. It is different for different batches. The shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture and would differ from batch to batch depending on when they were manufactured.
