Sucralfate 1000mg
Sucralfate is a sucrose sulfate-aluminium complex that binds
to the hydrochloric acid in the stomach forming a viscous paste-like, adhesive
substance. This protect against peptic acid, pepsin, and bile salts.
Usage
Sucralfate is used to treat:
- duodenal ulcers
- erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease
- stress ulcers
Drug interactions
Sucralfate may interact with such drugs, as:
- Digoxin,
- phenytoin,
- warfarin,
- ketoconazole,
- quinidine,
- ciprofloxacin,
- tetracycline,
- theophylline
