which decreases leukocyte motility, phagocytosis in joints and lactic acid production
and reduces the amount of urate crystals that cause the inflammatory response.
Usage
Colchicine is used to treat:
- acute gouty arthritis
- pericarditis

Colchicine may interact with such drugs, as:
- Cyclosporine
- clarithromycin,
- diclofenac,
- doxycycline,
- erythromycin,
- isoniazid,
- nicardipine,
- protease inhibitors,
- verapamil
