Ofloxacin 100/200/400mg
Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, which inhibits a DNA gyrase and blocks
bacteria division.
Usage.
Ofloxacin is used to treat:
- syphilis,
- chronic prostatitis,
- sinusitis,
- chlamydia,
- acne
Drug interactions.
Ofloxacin may increase the levels/effects of CYP1A2 substrates. Example substrates
include aminophylline, fluvoxamine, mexiletine, mirtazapine, ropinirole, and
trifluoperazine.
Ofloxacin possible side effects.
- headache,
- nausea,
- insomnia,
- dizziness,
- diarrhea,
- quinolone-induced tendonopathy,
- abnormal blood sugar levels
Ofloxacin and pregnancy / lactation.
