Ziprasidone 20/40/60/80mg
Ziprasidone is an atypical antipsychotic, which has a high
affinity for dopamine, serotonin and alpha-adrenergic receptors. Ziprasidone
moderately inhibits the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine.
Usage.
Ziprasidone is used to treat:
- schizophrenia;
- bipolar disorder
Drug interactions.
Ziprasidone may interact with such drugs, as:
- amphetamine
- carbamazepine
- CNS depressants
- ketoconazole
- levodopa
- QTc-prolonging agents
Ziprasidone possible side effects.
- QTc prolongation
- dizziness,
- headache,
- nausea, vomiting
Ziprasidone and pregnancy / lactation.
Use during pregnancy only if the potential benefit to the
mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus.
Do not take this medication if you are breast-feeding a baby.
