Indometacin 25/50/75mg
Indometacin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It
is a nonselective inhibitor of cyclooxygenase (COX) 1 and 2.
The result of this inhibition is decreased formation of prostaglandin
precursors and reduction of inflammatory process.
Usage.
Indometacin is used to treat:
- osteoarthritis,
- rheumatoid arthritis,
- arthritic gout
- juvenile arthritis
- psoriatic arthritis
- dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps)
- pericarditis
- fever and pain
Drug interactions.
Indometacin may interact with such drugs, as:
- aspirin
- cyclosporine
- drospirenone
- lithium
- medicines for high blood pressure
- medicines that affect platelets
- methotrexate
- other antiinflammatory drugs (such as ibuprofen or prednisone)
- diuretics
Indometacin possible side effects.
- Diarrhea

- Dyspepsia
Indometacin and pregnancy / lactation.
