Terbinafine Hydrochloride 250 mg
Terbinafine hydrochloride is a synthetic allylamine antifungal,
which inhibits ergosterol synthesis and to changes cell membrane permeability.
So it leads to fungicell death.
Usage.
Terbinafine is used to treat:
- skin infections such as jock itch , athlete's foot
- onychomycosis
Drug interactions.
Terbinafine may interact with such drugs, as:
- beta-blockers,
- MAO inhibitors,
- tricyclic antidepressants
- codeine
- Rifampin
Lamisil (Terbinafine) possible side effects.
- Dizziness,
- headache,
- fever,
- nausea, vomiting
- an allergic reaction
- Liver enzymes increased
- rash
- Visual disturbance
Lamisil and pregnancy / lactation.
Avoid use in pregnancy since treatment of onychomycosis is
postponable.
Do not take this medication if you are breast-feeding a baby.
