Loxapine is a typical antipsychotic. It is structurally related
to clozapine. It blocks postsynaptic mesolimbic D1 and D2 receptors in the brain,
and also possesses serotonin 5-HT2 blocking activity.
Usage.
Loxapine is used to treat:

Loxapine and pregnancy / lactation.
Use during pregnancy only if the potential benefit to the
mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus.
Do not take this medication if you are breast-feeding a baby.
