Minocycline Hydrochloride 100 mg
Minocycline hydrochloride is a broad spectrum tetracycline antibiotic. It is
a bacteriostatic antibiotic. It works by slowing the growth of certain bacteria
and allowing the body's immune system to destroy them.
Usage.
Minocycline is used to treat:
- anthrax;
- acne;
- meningococcal carrier state;
- rickettsial diseases;
- nongonococcal urethritis,
- gonorrhea;
- acute intestinal amebiasis
Drug interactions.
Minocycline may interact with:
- antacids,
- oral contraceptives,
- iron,
- zinc, s
- odium bicarbonate,
- penicillins,
- cimetidine
Minocycline possible side effects.
- diarrhea;
- abdominal pain;
- nausea, vomiting;
- drowsiness,
- headache;
- sensitivity to sunlight,
- fever,
- yellowing of the eyes or skin;
