Pantoprazole 20/40mg
Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that destroys the
ability of the parietal cells to produce gastric acid. This decreases the discomfort
caused by the stomach contents rising back into the esophagus.
Usage
Pantoprazole is used to treat:
- dyspepsia,
- peptic ulcer disease (PUD),
- gastroesophageal reflux disease
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
- in anti-Helicobacter therapy
Drug interactions
Pantoprazole may interact with such drugs, as:
- Benzodiazepines
- Carbamazepine
- Itraconazole and ketoconazole
- Phenytoin
- Protease inhibitors
- Warfarin
