Topiramate is an anticonvulsant used in adults and children. It inhibits excitatory
neurotransmission, blocks sodium channels in neurons and enhances GABA activity.
Usage
Topiramate is used to treat:
- epilepsy
- bipolar disorder
- Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (in children)
- migraine
Drug interactions
Topiramate may interact with:
- Anticholinergic drugs

- CNS depressants
- Digoxin
