Diclofenac 50mg
Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, which
inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by decreasing the activity of the cyclooxygenase.
It has moderate preference to block the COX2-isoenzyme. The result of this inhibition
is decreased formation of prostaglandin precursors and reduction of inflammatory
process.
Usage.
Diclofenac is used to treat:
- osteoarthritis,
- rheumatoid arthritis,
- dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps)
- fever and pain
- psoriatic arthritis
- gout
- ankylosing spondylitis
- tendinitis
- bursitis
Drug interactions.
Diclofenac may interact with such drugs, as:
- Angiotensin II antagonists
- Anticoagulants
- Antiplatelet drugs (ticlopidine, clopidogrel, aspirin, abciximab, dipyridamole,
eptifibatide, tirofiban)
- Cholestyramine
- Corticosteroids
- Cyclosporine
- Lithium
- Loop diuretic's
- Methotrexate
- Thiazide diuretics

- Dyspepsia
- Bronchospasm
